At Orange Tung Company we create quality products for wood protection and enhancement right here in Australia. Our products are completely pure and non-toxic, safe enough to use on food preparation items, children’s toys, and every other kind of raw or stripped timber.

What’s with the name?

Let me explain. We were so excited about the potential of a unique product we’d developed for protecting and beautifying raw wood that we wanted to make it our flagship product. Its two primary ingredients are both pure and natural oils derived from plants – essential Orange Oil and pure Tung Oil.

Thus the company name.

The family which researched the ancient tradition of blending essential orange oil with pure Chinese tung oil were probably the first in Australia to develop a similar hand-made blend using imported unadulterated oils.
However, due to the high cost of these oils many major brands contain as little as 10% tung oil in products claiming to be tung oil.

I have completed coating my pine table. Following your advice I mixed 50 mls of Old Baltic Spirit stain into 500 mls of Orange Tung Wood Oil and applied it according to your directions.
After it had thoroughly dried I finished the job with several coats of Citrus Shield until I achieved the finish you see in the photos. Very happy with your products.

I don’t think the pics do her justice, but on that note I would like to sincerely thank you for your fantastic range of products. As I may have said to you I applied ten coats of the tung oil. I’m sorry I didn’t take photos of each successive coat.
Ten coats has darkened the ash considerably but that is exactly what I was after. I allowed three weeks of drying before giving her a wet sand (1200 grade wet and dry) using your orange oil as the medium, a further week of drying and then an application of feed n wax. I am absolutely stoked. Please feel free to use the pics in any promos for your products if you so desire. Thank you once again….
